What is animation?
The word ‘Animation’ is derived from

2d animation:
It is the set of motion of two

3d animation:
It is the set of motion of three dimensional geometric onjects created with th ehelp of software. There are many open source or commercial software available for the same. Some of the most commonly used software being Maya and 3D Studio Max.

VFX: (Visual Effects)
I
would like to explain VFX, by citing an example.
Remember
the waterfall scene in the movie Baahubali. The shot was taken in front of
blank screen and not in front of a real waterfall. The visual effect, i.e. The
water fall was added using a computer software.
